A radiograph (also known as an X-ray) is a type of photograph that looks inside the body and reveals information that may not be visible from the outside. Internal organs such as the heart, lungs, and abdominal organs, as well as bones, can be evaluated using radiography. When it comes to correctly diagnose your pet, radiology can be a very useful tool in our diagnostic toolbox. Many advances have been made in digital x-ray technology, and we can now manipulate the digital images that we take. This enables us to diagnose problems that would not be visible on a traditional x-ray.
